ArlinAs Lita suggests, we rush back to Kavoc. The Cat Lady conveniently wanders into our view on the main street and we give chase.

The Cat Lady runs away to the back street, bumping into the Alkavana Knights, Vier and Neun, who are sort of prepared to capture her when we run up and try to stop the Cat Lady ourselves. Amid the initial surprised and confusion, the Cat Lady slips away. Vier doesn't seem too bothered by it and walks into the cathedral with Neun to report to Beggur.We still have the Cat Lady to catch.

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana is the newest game brought to the United States by the folks over at NIS America. It’s different from any other game they’ve put out here in two respects. Uh, WTF guys?

You JUST heard that from Arlin! You KNOW Arlin. Geez, buncha morons.Well, the only forest nearby is Lapis Woods. Guess we check there first.

The Cat Lady is indeed making her way through the woods. Unfortunately, Beggur and his knights got wind where she was going, too, and get to her, first, ready to dish out punishment for thieving. We intervene on behalf of the Cat Lady, and then get blamed for everything. Klein tells the Cat Lady to take cover while we fight off the Alkavana.EinZweiBeggurBeggur is surprisingly quick and strikes Lita with his For Justice! Lita uses her Jump Kick, damaging and knocking back Ein. Ein prepares his Sky Dragon's Rage. Delsus uses Power Shot on both Ein and Zwei, defeating Ein.

Zwei uses Thrash, a wide swing, striking both Klein and Delsus. Klein creates Bomb Ice and throws it at Zwei, defeating him. Beggur prepares an attack. Lita uses Jump Kick again, Delsus uses Power Shot again and Klein tosses another Bomb Ice at Beggur, breaking the skill.

Beggur ends up striking For Justice! Another Jump Kick, Power Shot and Bomb Ice strike Beggur, and he's defeated.(These battles are feeling easy because I've leveled up much more than my first time playing this whenever years ago.

XD)Beggur is impressed at the level of skills shown by the group but time for joining Alkavana (like any of the three want to anyway) is too late. He's pissed now and will follow them through the gates of hell if he has too-they will RUE the day-his long-winded professing is interrupted when Zwei and Ein drag him away to recoup.Now that everything's calmed down, it's time to get Klein's book back, please and thank you. The Cat Lady almost seems to do just that when she remembers that Zeldalia wants the 'picture book' for herself and runs off.

, Thankfully, that was just the slip of the tongue that Delsus needs to know where she's going. So there's no need to rush. We'll go back to Kavoc for now and recoup ourselves.A pop-up window appears to explain that many enemies, like Beggur, have moves which take two to several turns to use.

Long time no tutorial!:DPopo welcomes the player back to his Fourth-Wall Lecture Series. This one is called 'Battling Boredom' and addresses the topic of Battle Training Class. And the special guest is - Beggur! He explains the thre types of battle maneuvers. First is Single Type, an attack that works as soon as you select it. Most characters have Single Types. Next kind is Double Type, with these you perform the move twice as fast.

THen, using the time saved, you can perform a second move.At this point, Popo is getting confused (and so am I, actually). Beggur uses a dragon as an example. They'll inhale deeply as the first half of its action. Then, with the rest of its action, it will breathe out fire. The advantage? Double Types are much stronger than Single Types. The only problem is that they are 'weak' to breaking.

And if that happens you'll have to start the attack all over.The third kind of skill is the Other Type. A unique skill type that, as an example, Wolves have. A Wolf may jump out of battle to gather more wolves but if you defeat the rest of the pack or other enemies before the wolf returns, you win the battle! But if you aren't fast enough. You'll have a whole set of other Wolves to contend with.Alrighty.Meanwhile (after leaving Lapis Woods). Beggur is back at the cathedral with his knights. He orders them, again, to find Klein and arrest him.

Beggur bellylaughs until suffering from another coughing fit.When we get back to Kavoc, returning to the base, we're taking it easy in the kitchen (on the lower floor with the beds) when Lita asks Delsus just where exactly the cat girl was headed. He says that name, Zeldalia, rings a bell. A witch with that same name live in Poto's Forest. Of course, getting there won't be easy. A huge fortress blocks the way, built back during the way and full of bandits now.But, supposedly, there's another way. A path by Lake Forwel, near Iris' grave.

It was something a merchant told him in passing, but Delsus is sure they can trust that merchant's word. It's worth a shot, seeing as it's their only choice.

The Lady that lives in the house built in the tree is receiving a visit from someone she hasn't seen in a long time. It's Mull, who says neither of them have changed a bit over the many years.

She turns her back to him to resume working at her desk, asking him curtly what he wants. Mull tells her that his experiment is nearly complete.
